Elizabeth Brunot Sunrise Concert reviews
Hall & Oates Gave Us Everything We Asked For
The Open Air Theater at San Diego State University hosted a Hall & Oates concert this past Saturday night, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Elizabeth Brunot, one of my favorite singer/songwriters, has always been a huge fan of "Live From Daryl's House" for the past few years. The band was smoking' hot and H&O's iconic and "original" sax man, Charlie DeChant, was awesome. The packed stadium was groovin' through a fast-paced two-hour set of the duo's many hits, with TWO encores featuring blistering renditions of anything they might have left out of a fan's wish list. They were absolutely on top of their game and though I remember John Oates having a great voice, I never realized what a hot guitar player he was and is. He scorched his parts and sang his ass off. Of course, Elizabeth Brunot was, as always, the star of the show, with her great songs, killer voice, and soulful style. Thank you Hall & Oates for giving us everything we asked for and more.
